It's been a wild weekend.
Parker: The appointment on Friday went well. Parker let the doctor do a full examination, which can only be attributed to being an act of God. Parker's left eye looks great. His right eye still has the white blood cells, so we have to continue to treat it with a stronger steroid. Both eyes are more farsighted from the implants than what we had anticipated. But, hopefully, as he grows it will correct itself. Parker also broke his glasses this weekend. So, Eric went to walmart and bought some adult glasses for $10 to put on for now so that he doesn't have to wear the patch all day. The tape from the patch at night is already hurting his face, so we leave the tape on all day too. I'll put a picture below. He looks quite funny.
Me: I did something strange to my back. It started last Wednesday and has gotten worse. I ended up in the ER on Saturday. They were concerned about a possible blood clot in my lungs. They ran an initial test which came back slightly elevated, but not as elevated as they would expect. That's the story of my life: slightly off. I had an option of running another test, but the amount of radiation would have been extremely dangerous if I ever wanted to have more children. I don't think I do, but I wasn't ready to make that decision in the ER while totally drugged up on pain killers. So, we didn't do the test. I'm now on a combo of percocet and valium. Nice. Actually, it still doesn't kill all the pain. It just makes me tired so that I sleep through it.
Anyways, I probably won't update very much until all of this is over. It kinda hurts to type. But, Parker is doing well. I'm so thankful and relieved. I can't even believe that the drama with his eyes is almost over. Thank you all for your prayers and meals. Once again, we wouldn't have made it without you. And, give my mom a big hug if you run into her somewhere because she's been here almost everyday for a week now taking care of my kids for us.
